Eurodore recognised as foodie hotspot
Eurodore on Bay Street, Port Melbourne, was this week listed by TripAdvisor on their ‘Melbourne is For Foodies’, traveller advice ‘Go List’, joining many respected provedores and larders including Simon Johnson and Richmond Hill Cafe and Larder.
Trip Advisor, the largest, independent, travel community in the world, describes Eurodore as one of “…a number of excellent Providores dotted around the inner city. Eurodore in Port Melbourne is an attractive space with an excellent selection of imported and local gourmet produce, serving innovative light meals at the front, which feature their wares and can include items such as French Rabbit Pie.”
Eurodore’s Sarah Reiter, responding to the news said, “The team have worked incredibly hard to gain local acclaim and we are thrilled to now receive this recognition. Eurodore puts Port Melbourne on the map for food – and especially cheese – lovers.”
The Eurodore team are committed to another year of success with an impressive line up of industry greats and a seasonally changing product range.
“Our 2008 event and workshop program will allow Melbourne foodies access to some of the industry’s best. Crittenden Estate’s Garry Crittenden, Domain Chandon, Senior Wine maker, Matt Steel and The Spanish Acquisition’s Scott Wasley are just a few of wine greats hosting Eurodore’s ‘Meet the Maker’ Wine Tasting Workshops,” said Reiter.
“And for cheese lovers, our program is one of the best and the most extensive in Melbourne, including dedicated workshops on regions and varietals. Hosted by Calander Cheese’s Bronwyn Aitken these intimate and informal workshops are highly participative and involve the added dimension of wine matching advice.”
“We are also very excited about new products arrivals including a Mt Zero EVOO signature blend exclusive for Eurodore, King Valley Fine Food’s new milawa blue cheese dressing, and La Parisienne Pate’s Autumn range of terrines.
